Dusty Rhodes Scholarship
Dusty Rhodes was born and raised in Flint and was a 1950 graduate of the College. After a successful career in radio broadcasting he went on to work in newspaper publishing and international TV news. He loved his years as Spartan Stadium announcer. Applicants must have a 3.0 or higher cumulative GPA, have a declared major in the College of Communication Arts and Sciences, and have graduated from a MI high school. Preference is given to students who wish to pursue a career in radio, newspaper or TV news and to to students from Flint, MI specifically or Genesee County.
