Docking Scholarship

Having grown up not only in Michigan but on MSU’s campus, Dr. Docking experienced all that MSU had to offer at an early age. After graduating with a degree in Telecommunication, he worked briefly as a reporter covering the Michigan State Capital before pursuing advanced degrees. Dr. Docking received his master’s in Divinity from Garrett-Evangelical Theology Seminary and a Ph.D. in Ethics from Boston University before returning to a career in education. In 2005 Dr. Docking became the 17th President of Adrian College where he has served ever since. Recognizing how powerful education can be, Dr. Docking has dedicated decades of his career to providing access and opportunities for students to pursue a college degree. This scholarship is intended to encourage students who have demonstrated the capacity to achieve educational and professional goals, the motivation to achieve these goals and the initiative to seek opportunities to further their progress.

Undergraduate Students pursuing a degree offered in the College of Communication Arts and Sciences will be eligible for this award.
