Scholarship recipients must be outstanding students who are promising potential citizens and are in need o f financial assistance to complete their education.
Preference to Michigan residents whose parents and grandparents were also residents of Michigan
Preference shall be given to those from a rural family
Must have finished one year of study at MSU demonstrating that he/she can maintain a better grade point average
