Washington D.C. Chapter MSU Black Alumni Scholarship

A committee composed of a representative from the MSU Office of Financial Aid and a member of the MSU Black Alumni Association, chosen by their Board of Directors will select scholarship recipients in accordance with the Office of Financial Aid’s, or its future successor MSU unit, if any, practices and procedures for the selection of scholarships in effect at the time of the selection. The Committee will review applications and make recommendations to the Office of Financial Aid. The Office of Financial Aid reserves the right to make the final selection of the award recipients.
Recipients shall be selected based on the following criteria:

1. Enrollment in an undergraduate degree program at least part-time when the Scholarship is activated.

2. Minimum 2.7 GPA (Incoming freshmen are eligible for this Scholarship provided their high school GPA meets this criterion).

3. Residence in the greater metropolitan Washington, D.C. area.

4. Financial need may be considered.
