Donald F. Koch and Barbara J. Sawyer-Koch Environmental Studies Spartan Scholarship Challenge

All students who are entering their freshman or sophomore year at MSU and who are eligible to participate in federal need-based financial aid programs will be considered for Scholarships. Initial Scholarship awards may be made only to such students. Preferences for scholarships will be for students who are planning to study in one of the following programs: Residential Initiative on the Study of the Environment (RISE) or Science, Technology, Environment and Public Policy (STEPPS) or other programs that match the intent of fostering leadership in protecting the global environment.

Scholarships will be renewable until the recipient’s graduation, no matter what major or college the recipient chooses, provided that the recipient continues in good standing. The recipient must also remain eligible to participate in federal need-based financial aid programs.
